0.1.3: The first food will be produced


Hey folks,

it's time for the next update for Towns. Yes, it's still the working title because I still could not find a better one, but let me show you, what I have done in the last two weeks. You can also download the latest version and try it for yourself.

Granary and vegetable garden

I added two new buildings to the game. The first one is the granary. You can build it from the build menu and it is the prerequisite for the second building because the vegetable garden is an extension of the granary. You can build the vegetable garden from the selection window of the granary.


The villagers work in the vegetable gardens until the plants are fully grown and then they collect the vegetables. If their inventory is full they go to the granary and store the vegetables.

Road Building

I added a new building behavior for the roads. Now it is possible to build multiple roads at once. Click on the starting point and hold the left mouse button until you reach the target point. If you are holding the left alt key, an alternative route is chosen.


New Buttons

In the upper right corner, I added a few new buttons. One for opening the menu and four for changing the game speed (pause, normal, double and quadruple speed).


Tile Visualization

I adjusted the visualization of specific tiles. The tiles and the objects on it, that are not owned by the player, will be displayed darker in the build mode. The building tiles indicate now, whether you can build or not.


I would be very happy if you could give me some feedback. What do you like or do not and what would you like to the see in my game. Maybe you have a nice idea for the game title. Otherwise, you can read the next dev log in two weeks.
